Duo Injured After Car, Dirt Bike Collide In Medford

Police are investigating an early-morning Long Island accident that left one in serious condition and another injured.

On Thursday, July 6, Emily Farrington was driving a 2014 Ford Mustang north on Route 112 in Medford, according to Suffolk County Police.

Farrington, aged 18, attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot between Southaven Avenue and Tremont Avenue when, at 12:10 a.m., she was hit by two dirt bikes traveling south.

Tomeik Young, a 23-year-old from Middle Island and one of the dirt bike riders, was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue and is in serious condition.

The second dirtbike rider, 17-year-old Deandre Henderson of Bellport, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Farrington was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
